Marinite A
Marinite® A is a high-hardness calcium silicate insulation with a nominal density of 65 pcf (1041 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation specifically engineered for conveying, containing, handling, and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It can be used in systems operating up to 1500°F (816°C). Marinite A is made primarily of micro silica, hydrothermally-produced binders and reinforcing fibers. This product is off-white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and maintains clean surfaces that won't contaminate molten metal.
Marinite A is available in a range of thicknesses from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 3" (76.2mm), in sheet sizes of 2' x 4' (1219 x 2438mm), 4' x 4' (1219 x 1219mm) and 4' × 8' (1219 x 2438mm).
