Marinite A

Marinite A

Marinite® A is a high-hardness calcium silicate insulation with a nominal density of 65 pcf (1041 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation specifically engineered for conveying, containing, handling, and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It can be used in systems operating up to 1500°F (816°C). Marinite A is made primarily of micro silica, hydrothermally-produced binders and reinforcing fibers. This product is off-white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and maintains clean surfaces that won't contaminate molten metal.

Marinite A is available in a range of thicknesses from 1/2" (12.7 mm) to 2" (50.8 mm), in sheet sizes of 2' x 4' (1219 x 2438 mm), 4' x 4' (1219 x 1219 mm) and  4' × 8' (1219 x 2438 mm).

BNZ Materials Has Closed Their Production Facility

BNZ Materials, the sole manufacturer of CS85 and Marinite, has permanently ceased production of these materials. As a result, all remaining CS85 and Marinite inventory is limited and availability will continue to decrease as existing stock is sold.

If the Marinite material you need is not showing as available below, please contact us directly at customerservice@awmcousa.com or call (708) 478-6032. We may still have inventory available or we can identify suitable replacement materials to keep your project moving forward without delays.
