Transite HT

Transite® HT is a high-density, non-asbestos fiber cement board engineered for structural durability, thermal stability, and electrical insulation. With a nominal density of 100 pcf (1602 kg/m³), Transite HT is monolithic and non-combustible, offering outstanding strength and resistance to heat, impact, corrosion, and chemical exposure. It is rated for continuous operating temperatures up to 450°F (232°C) and can withstand up to 600°F (315°C) with proper initial heat conditioning.

Composed of portland cement and selected non-asbestos, non-ceramic fibers, Transite HT is hydraulically pressed and air-cured for superior machinability. It is neutral gray in color with a standard 24-grit sanded finish, and contains no asbestos, mercury, or lead. Transite HT is also classified with a flame spread of 0 and smoke development of 0 per ASTM E84.

Transite HT is available in thicknesses from 1/4" (6.4 mm) to 2" (50.8 mm), in sheet sizes up to 48-5/8" × 96-5/8" (1235 mm × 2454 mm).

BNZ Materials Has Closed Their Production Facility

BNZ Materials, the sole manufacturer of Transite HT and Transite 1000, has permanently ceased production of these materials. As a result, all remaining Transite inventory is limited and availability will continue to decrease as existing stock is sold.
