Marinite® CF is a carbon-fiber reinforced calcium silicate insulation with a nominal density of 50 pcf (800 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation panel specifically engineered for aluminum casting applications. It can be used in systems operating up to 1350°F (732°C). Marinite CF is made primarily of calcium silicate, carbon fibers and reinforcing agents. This product is off-white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and leaves exceptionally clean casting surfaces.
Marinite CF is available in a range of thicknesses from 3/4" (19.1mm) to 3" (76.2mm) in a sheet size up to 4' × 8' (1219 x 2438mm).
