Super Caltemp® Gold 1700 block insulation is a type II calcium silicate insulation with an average density of 18 pcf (288 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible insulation with exceptional strength and extremely low water of hydration. Chemically, Super Caltemp Gold 1700 features a xonotlite crystal structure and is composed primarily of lime, silica and reinforcing fibers. The product is gold in color, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos and can insulate up to 1700°F (927°C).
Super Caltemp Gold 1700 is available in a range of thicknesses from 1" (25mm) to 3" (76mm), in sheet sizes of 12" × 36" (305 x 914mm).
