Super Firetemp S

Super Firetemp® S is a type II calcium silicate insulation with an average density of 55 pcf (881 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation for use in industrial equipment and building systems. It can be used in systems operating up to 1700°F (927°C). Super Firetemp S is made primarily of lime, silica, and reinforcing fibers. This product is white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, and meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II Grade 7 and ASTM C795 corrosion requirements for use with austenitic stainless steel.

Super Firetemp S is available in a range of thicknesses from 1/2" (13 mm) to 1½" (38 mm) in sheet sizes up to 4' × 8' (1219 mm × 2438 mm).
