Marinite® I is a calcium silicate structural insulation with a nominal density of 46 pcf (737 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high‑strength panel offering both structural integrity and excellent thermal insulation for industrial and fire-protection applications. It can be used in systems operating up to 1200°F (649°C). Marinite I is made primarily of calcium silicate, inert fillers and reinforcing agents. This product is off-white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and provides a clean, non‑contaminating surface suitable for finishes or protective coatings.
Marinite I is available in a range of thicknesses from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 2" (50.8mm), in sheet sizes of 2' x 4' (1219 x 2438mm), 4' x 4' (1219 x 1219mm) and 4' × 8' (1219 x 2438mm).
