Super Firetemp X

Super Firetemp® X is a type II calcium silicate insulation with an average density of 40 pcf (641 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation for fire protection applications. It can be used in systems operating up to 1700°F (927°C). Super Firetemp X is made primarily of lime, silica and reinforcing fibers. This product is white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II Grade 7.

Super Firetemp X is available in a range of thicknesses from 1/2" (13mm) to 2" (51mm), in sheet sizes up to 4' × 8' (1219mm x 2438mm).
