Marinite® I is a calcium silicate structural insulation with a nominal density of 46 pcf (737 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high‑strength panel offering both structural integrity and excellent thermal insulation for industrial and fire-protection applications. It can be used in systems operating up to 1200°F (649°C). Marinite I is made primarily of calcium silicate, inert fillers and reinforcing agents. This product is off-white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and provides a clean, non‑contaminating surface suitable for finishes or protective coatings.

    Marinite I can meet the stress corrosion cracking requirements for stainless steel of N.R.C. Regulatory Guide 1.36 and
    MIL-I-24244.

Applications

Applications include structural and thermal insulation for ovens, dryers, and heat-retaining enclosures. Marinite® I is also used for fire-rated walls, fire stops, fire doors, cable trays, and as an incombustible base for melamine veneers. Its machinability allows for custom heat baffles and insulating components across industrial and commercial settings.

Installation and Fabrication

Marinite I is easily machined with standard carpentry tools and installed using screws or nuts and bolts. The surface readily accepts paint, wall coverings, and veneers.

Shipping

Shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout for all orders within the contiguous United States. Orders of in-stock materials generally ship from our factory within 1-3 business days after receipt of the order. Delivery times vary depending on location within the United States. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information on the day your order ships.

There is a $65 charge per pallet. Please note that depending on order size, a shipment may contain multiple pallets. Maximum pallet quantities are noted in the Product Details above.
