Promat MONALITE®-M1AT is a high-density technical calcium silicate insulation with a nominal density of 61.8 pcf (990 kg/m³). It is an asbestos-free, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation specifically engineered for molten non-ferrous metal applications including aluminum casting, foundry operations, and other process industries. MONALITE®-M1AT can be used in systems operating up to 1832°F (1000°C) and offers low thermal shrinkage, excellent thermal shock resistance, dimensional stability, and high mechanical strength. The material is non-wetted by molten non-ferrous metals, non-reactive to lubricants such as boron nitride and graphite, and maintains clean surfaces that help reduce contamination in casting applications.
MONALITE®-M1AT is available in a range of thicknesses from approximately 1/2" (13.1 mm) to 4" (102 mm) in standard sheet sizes of 47.2" × 98.4" (1200 × 2500 mm).
