Super Firetemp® H is a type II calcium silicate insulation with an average density of 35 pcf (561 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation for fire protection applications. It can be used in systems operating up to 1700°F (927°C). Super Firetemp H is made primarily of lime, silica and reinforcing fibers. This product is white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, mercury or lead, and meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II, Grade 6.

    Extensively tested for fire resistance and high-temperature insulation performance, Super Firetemp® H meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II, Grade 6 and passes ASTM C795 corrosion testing for use with austenitic stainless steel.

Applications

Super Firetemp® H has both exceptional strength and insulation qualities, allowing it to be readily machined into component parts of many sizes and shapes. Uses include oven and furnace walls, structural supports, pipe supports, and equipment supports, where durable high-temperature insulation and structural stability are required in industrial equipment and building systems.

Installation and Fabrication

Super Firetemp® H is easily machined using standard carpentry tools and can be cut, drilled, and shaped into a variety of custom components. The boards can be installed using common mechanical fasteners.

Shipping

Shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout for all orders within the contiguous United States. Orders of in-stock materials generally ship from our factory within 1-3 business days after receipt of the order. Delivery times vary depending on location within the United States. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information on the day your order ships.

Use our Contact Us form to receive shipping charges for delivery outside of the contiguous United States, or for expedited delivery.

There is a $65 charge per pallet. Please note that depending on order size, a shipment may contain multiple pallets. Maximum pallet quantities are noted in the Product Details above.
