Super Firetemp® S is a type II calcium silicate insulation with an average density of 55 pcf (881 kg/m3). It is an inorganic, non-combustible, high-temperature insulation for use in industrial equipment and building systems. It can be used in systems operating up to 1700°F (927°C). Super Firetemp S is made primarily of lime, silica, and reinforcing fibers. This product is white, essentially dust-free, contains no asbestos, and meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II Grade 7 and ASTM C795 corrosion requirements for use with austenitic stainless steel.

    Extensively tested for fire resistance and thermal performance in high-temperature insulation applications, Super Firetemp® S meets or exceeds ASTM C656, Type II, Grade 7 and passes ASTM C795 corrosion testing for use with austenitic stainless steel.

Applications

Super Firetemp® S has high strength as well as excellent insulation properties, allowing it to be readily machined into component parts of many sizes and shapes. Uses include oven and furnace walls, platen presses, and structural supports, where durable high-temperature insulation is required in industrial equipment and building systems.

Installation and Fabrication

Super Firetemp® S is easily machined using standard carpentry tools and can be cut, drilled, and shaped to produce a variety of custom components. The boards can be installed using common mechanical fasteners.

Shipping

Shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout for all orders within the contiguous United States. Orders of in-stock materials generally ship from our factory within 1-3 business days after receipt of the order. Delivery times vary depending on location within the United States. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information on the day your order ships.

There is a $65 charge per pallet. Please note that depending on order size, a shipment may contain multiple pallets. Maximum pallet quantities are noted in the Product Details above.
