  • Performance and Testing

Marinite M panels comply with U.S. Coast Guard requirements for noncombustibility and B-15 bulkhead construction and are approved under U.S.C.G. Certificate of Approval 164.008/94/1, demonstrating verified fire-resistant performance for marine bulkheads, linings, and ceilings.

Applications

Applications include fire-resistant bulkheads, wall linings, and overhead ceiling panels in marine vessels and offshore structures. Marinite® M is widely used in passenger ships, cargo ships, tankers, naval vessels, drill rigs, and offshore platforms, where noncombustible panels are required for interior joiner systems. The panels are also used as structural insulating boards and as a durable base for decorative finishes such as melamine veneers, laminates, and sheet metals, providing fire safety, thermal insulation, and acoustic control in marine interiors.

Installation and Fabrication

Marinite M panels can be easily cut, drilled, and shaped using standard carpentry tools and installed using approved marine joiner systems or common mechanical fasteners. The panels provide a smooth surface that readily accepts paint and can be finished with decorative sheet metals, plastic laminates, or melamine veneers.
